Geropotamos Beach is small, calm, and beautifully simple. Golden sand meets turquoise water below rugged cliffs, a natural hideaway just off the highway. It’s where locals go when they’ve had enough of crowds and beach bars. Simple setup, full charm. 

No umbrellas. No fuss. Just sea, sun, and silence. A couple of tavernas serve fresh fish and cold beer, but otherwise, you bring what you need, shade, snacks, and time to do nothing. Getting there is easy.

Just 20 minutes east of Rethymno, right off the coastal road. Follow signs for Geropotamos Beach  parking is free and right by the sand.

When to go?
